try floating in the ocean
If possible, go somewhere where the ocean is warm and quite calm. And of course, only try this if you are comfortable in water. Then just float. Float in the salty water. Float on your back. If at all possible, be naked. And just let go. Allow all the tension in your body to drop away. Allow the tension in the mind too, to drop away. Become totally relaxed. You can try closing your eyes, or keeping them open to gaze at the open sky.
This exercise is about letting go – letting go and feeling the support of existence. Feel how the ocean is holding you up. You don't need to do anything. No effort is needed; no tension. No thoughts are needed; just being, relaxed in the water.
Feel the support, the support of life. It is this feeling of being supported that allows us to relax into being. It allows us to drop the effort of doing, the neediness of having. It allows us to relax and enjoy.
So float. Float in the warm ocean water, doing nothing; feeling supported, looked after.
